Defense Incubator Picks Cary Company
Triangle Business Journal - 1:59 PM EST Thursday
A Cary simulation company is among the first seven firms to be accepted as a client company by the Defense Security and Technology Accelerator in Fayetteville.
Virtual Heroes, which develops video simulations used to train military personnel, will set up an office in Fayetteville under the nonprofit incubator, according to DSTA General Manager Scott Perry.
The new Virtual Heroes office will deal solely with the Fayetteville market and potential military clientele at the area's surrounding bases, including Fort Bragg, Perry says. Virtual Heroes will maintain its current office in Cary.
DSTA also revealed Thursday the identities of six other client companies, four of which are from North Carolina.
Horizontal Fusion, Immersion Media and K-3 Enterprises, all of Fayetteville, will open offices inside the DSTA, as will Sanford-based Olivia Tower. The remaining two companies accepted by the program are Maryland-based Signet Technologies and Ohio-based Net Centric Services.
Each of the client companies will receive assistance with developing their business and tapping the defense and security markets, including individual coaching, introductions to potential customers and on-site lab space and equipment. |
